is ranked as the #2 Agent for Condo Sales in Somerville for 2009. "In one of the most challenging economic
climates in decades, I persisted through the mortgage challenges, worked hard for my clients, and had my best year.".
A recent article from Re/MAX New England:
Congratulations to Terrie Hayden from RE/MAX Destiny in Cambridge, MA. Terrie was the month of Augusts' top producer and is continuing strong for the rest of the year! Terrie said her success can be attributed to the fact that she recently listed a 46 unit condominium building. She started marketing this brand new building in Easter and 70% of the units sold and closed in August!"
However, it wasn't always smooth sailing for Terrie. "At the beginning of the Spring market we were facing very difficult odds. Financing was a major hurdle that had to be addressed as well as the buyer's fear of being "the first one" in a new building" Terrie said. She knew that all these bases needed to be covered to help buyers make their decision. "I invited the residential lending arm of the commercial lender as well as the bank's attorney to visit the building and look at the property. This allowed me to form a relationship with them and in return they created a special package with no closing cost for buyers, extended rate locks and aggressive low rates offered exclusively for buyers of this building."
Terrie offered this advice for agents out there who are listing a development, "I would strongly recommend having a good website, setting up a sales office on site - no matter where, and putting together a good team with the lender, bank, seller's attorney, etc. and inviting them to the site before hand. Also, the one thing that made the closing go very smooth was the fact that I set up a closing room on-site with a printer and internet access." "Congratulations Terrie, keep up the good work!"
Terrie's real estate clients appreciate her enthusiasm, organizational skills and her positive approach to buying and selling real estae. She has extensive knowledge of condominium conversion and new construction with prominent developer, David Aposhian, as one of her clients. Her market area includes Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington, Watertown, and Belmont.
Originally from California, Terrie began her real estate career in Cambridge after relocating in 1990. Terrie married Bill Hayden in 1997. They purchased and lived in a two-family home in Watertown, and currently live in their own single family near Bentley College, which they continue to improve.
