About Me

Getting to Know Terrie Hayden

Born in Massachusetts and raised in California, Terrie fell in love with New England after relocating to Cambridge in 1990. She visits her friends and family in California a couple of times per year, but her heart and her work is now in New England. Terrie’s love for a challenge has always pushed her to excel in her career - from working as an accountant for several large companies such as Pepsi, to her entrepreneurial spirit which sparked her interest to start her own desktop publishing business in the mid ‘80’s. Her focus has always been on getting results for her clients by really listening to their needs. She approaches each relationship with research, determination, confidence, and a pleasant take-charge attitude.

From the beginning of Terrie’s career in Cambridge real estate in 1990, Terrie immediately found the challenging, yet emotionally rewarding job of a Cambridge Real Estate Agent the perfect fit for her. What started as a career in marketing and operations for the top real estate office in Cambridge, eventually transformed into a sales associate position with RE/MAX in 2001 and she hasn’t looked back since.

Specializing in real estate sales for Cambridge, Somerville, and surrounding New England neighborhoods, Terrie has become an expert in the lifestyle and housing options each community has to offer. She also has extensive knowledge of condominium conversion and new construction development sales with the prominent developer David Aposhian as one of her clients since 2002. During the height of the economic crisis and mortgage meltdown, she listed a brand new 46-unit condominium building in April, and had a staggering 70% of the units sold and closed by August. In March of 2010, she listed 11 brand new townhomes near Harvard and MIT and had them all sold by early Summer!

Terri's innate ability to multi-task, lead and develop strong relationships is what makes her so successful. In a results driven culture - Terrie delivers, but this is not the sole reason many are drawn to her. Terrie’s impeccable work ethic, market knowledge and undying enthusiasm for life, work and people is what causes Terrie to stand out. Absolute priority is placed on staying organized and staying positive for her clients.

Taking her exuberant work ethic into the New England real estate industry, Terrie has won numerous awards including the number one RE/MAX agent in New England in May 2010, the Agent of the Month in September 2009, and a Top 25 ranking among all RE/MAX New England sales associates for both 2009 and 2010. She is also a member of the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame club which signifies a gross lifetime income of $1,000,000 in commissions. (Link to Recognitions and Certifications.)

She is involved with her community, serving as treasurer of the Cambridge Community of REALTORS® for over 5 years, contributing to the Cambridge Housing Assistance Fund, and speaking at First Time Home Buyer Seminars for the city of Somerville and the city of Cambridge.

When she is not dedicating time to clients, Terrie enjoys staying active at the Mount Auburn Athletic Club with group classes in spinning and Pilates. She also finds her work flowing into her hobbies as she has developed an undying passion for remodeling homes, as well as constantly improving and enhancing her own home. Terrie officially became Terrie Hayden in 1997 when she married Bill Hayden, who has had his own business in the Funeral industry for over 40 years. They began their lives together in a two family home in Watertown and now reside in a beautiful single family home near Bentley College with their new puppy “Bentley, a Cavalier King Charles, and their 11 year old cat “Stuart. Although down time can be few and far between, when the chance arises, they like to spend their “off-time on Cape Cod.
