Getting round to writing a thank you now that the apartment looks like an apartment and not a construction site.

When I started looking everything was new to me and I did not know what to expect other than what I'd learned by reading and talking with friends. The first thing you asked me to do was go see some open houses by myself just to get a sense for how this feels. Ironically, the condo that I ultimately bought was seen on this first day! After that we met and you gave me a good overview of the milestones we'd encounter along the way, indicating which steps would be busier for me and those which mostly involved waiting on my part - this gave me a good sense of pace which helps a lot when you step into the unknown. You took the time to understand my situation (always keeping this short time frame in mind), listened well to what I was hoping to find and helped filter my options (and many emails!) so that we could deal with a manageable and prioritized list of properties to view.

You made solid recommendations about mortgage brokers and lawyers whom I also enjoyed working with and this helped keeps things ticking along, especially later on during the nitty gritty phases. You maintained good relationships with other brokers whom we met and set up timely appointments often at short notice. You were thorough, detailed, enthusiastic, had an enjoyable sense of humour and kept my expectations realistic, especially when I got a little overwhelmed by all the moving pieces. You offered advice where it was needed, but also knew when to step back and allow me to reach my own conclusions when I was ready, without being pushy. I particularly valued this. You also knew the specific area within which I was looking very well. You kept me on track through the entire process and were especially good with those items requiring action on my part - I always had a good understanding of why these were important and this was an additional incentive for me to stay on top of things.

Ultimately you were a very good and enjoyable guide Terrie and I'd happily recommend you to others.
